Economist with extensive experience in fisheries economics and statistics and in national and international projects supporting the implementation of the Common Fisheries Policy. She holds a degree in Economics and Business from the University of Salerno and began her career in 1998 at IREPA, specializing in technical support for the implementation of the National Fisheries Data Collection Work Plan (Regulation EU 1004/2017), including data management and the preparation of annual reports. She was Lecturer in Marine Resource Economics at the University of Bologna (2002–2007) and has collaborated as a consultant with the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM) on the revision of the fisheries data collection information system for the Mediterranean and Black Sea. Since 2013 she has been a founding partner and researcher at NISEA. She is a member of STECF and has chaired several working groups on the revision and harmonization of methodologies for collecting economic fisheries data (STECF and RCG ECON). She is currently Co-Chair of the STECF group responsible for the preparation of the Annual Economic Report (AER) on the EU fishing fleet.
